Noel Night at the Planetarium

The Planetarium will be giving free shows and physics demonstrations on Noel Night, 2018. Our show, On A Clear Winter's Night, will talk about what causes the seasons, what makes winter stars seem brighter, and what you should look for in the sky this particular season. Free tickets are available at the planetarium at 5pm, and shows are at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm. In the interim Dr. Walt Kappulia, Emeritus Professor of Physics, will be giving our Fire and Ice physics demonstrations in the hallway, and planetarium staff will be hosting our Dark Room light demos in the classroom next door. Please join us for some interstellar winter fun!

The planetarium is located in room 0209 Old Main, 4841 Cass Avenue, Detroit MI. The planetarium is on the lower level, near the solar system mural.

Free public planetarium shows are sponsored by the Department of Physics and Astronomy. To support these outreach efforts, consider a donation to the Planetarium fund.
