Join us Friday, April 15 at 7 p.m. as Dr. Alexey Petrov presents the exciting lecture: What is happening at Japan's Fukushima Nuclear Power Station?

WSU physicist, Dr. Alexey Petrov reviews the current state of the Fukushima nuclear power plant, steps taken by Japanese engineers to control the situation and implications this event has for nuclear power generation facilities around the world. Dr. Petrov will also speak of his experience as an 8th grader on a school trip to Kyiv on April 26, 1986, when the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant disaster occurred.
