Fall Shows Scheduled for WSU Planetarium
Wayne State University Planetarium will be offering free public planetarium shows on Friday evenings at 7pm and 8:30pm throughout the fall semester. This year, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Moon Landing, the full dome film 'Dawn of the Space Age' will be shown as part of each show. While seats can be reserved on eventbrite, there are 20 walk-in seats available at every show, first-come first-serve. 'We're so pleased to be able to share our enthusiasm for astrophysics and astronomy with Wayne State students and the larger Detroit community every week," says Planetarium Director Dr. Megan McCullen. "While the planetarium is essential to our astronomy and physics courses, we know space captivates many people, and it's great to be able to use this resource for the community as well."
Seats for planetarium shows can be reserved on eventbrite the Sunday prior to each show at noon. Shows start promptly at 7pm and 8:30pm so we recommend arriving at least 10 minutes prior to the show starting. Late entries are not permitted.
The first shows of the fall term will be held on September 6th. Shows are held throughout the term, excluding Thanksgiving weekend.
