Public Planetarium Shows

Free public planetarium shows are held on Friday nights at 7pm and 8:30 pm.  Reserved Seats are Required. 

The Wayne State Planetarium presents public planetarium shows on a regular basis. Our public shows are presented at 7 PM and 8:30 pm on most Friday evenings throughout the semester. For a show schedule, please see our calendar or the main page of this website. Admission to these events is free.  A reservation for public planetarium shows is required.  Ticketed attendeees should arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the beginning of the show.  After this time unclaimed seats will be reserved to walk-in members of the public.

Free Young Astronomer shows, geared towards children under 10 and their families, are held one Saturday per month at 11am and noon. Reserved Seats are Required.

The Wayne State Planetarium welcomes astronomers of all ages! Our Saturday morning shows last about one hour and are geared towards a younger audience. While children are welcome at our Friday evening shows as well, Saturday morning content are specifically designed with the younger astronomer in mind.
